Our Purpose
G1FT is a social enterprise dedicated to reversing the rising poverty trends in Sabah. Our focus is on empowering disadvantaged women by equipping them with practical skills in sewing and craftwork.
These skills do more than just provide a hobby—they offer a pathway to a steady income and self-sufficiency. We are committed to fostering sustainable community living, ensuring that every woman we train has the power to overcome financial hardship. We may be starting small, but we are dedicated to creating a broad, lasting impact across the region.
Who are we & Why We do it
G1FT Give 1 For Two- Social Enterprise To Empower Underprivileged Housewife
Give 1 For Two Sdn Bhd (G1FT) was established in January 2022 , with the purpose to help underprivileged women in impoverish community (Kota Kinabalu, Sabah ) and to encourage them to step out from poverty by sustainable income and be financially independent .
The affluence of rural women is declining, and they encounter obstacles while attempting to leave their villages for employment. But if we teach them sewing skills, they will definitely learn how to sew, and they will have lots of opportunities to use their skills to generate income so they can sustain themselves and their families.
Our sewing program is perfect for beginners who want to learn at their own speed while enjoying the support of in-person classes at G1FT. We use a simple, step-by-step teaching method so you never feel overwhelmed. To help you stay on track and see your progress, you’ll complete a hands-on project after every session!
In today’s world, clothes are often treated as disposable, which leads to a huge waste problem. But we can change that. Upcycling is a fun and creative way to reuse what we already have, saving resources and reducing our footprint. From old clothing to plastic, there are countless ways to transform waste into something wonderful!
